    Hi Guys!

One of the core principles in my harmonica teaching method is to encourage you to set goals. That way I can help you break down exactly how to get there.

With that in mind, let’s get a thread going where you let me (and us) know what you want to play. Start with a YouTube link to a song if you can, or simply drop in some titles and artist names. The more detail you give me, the more specific I can be in return. 😉

    Who wants to go first?

    Hello, Mitch!
I am a rank beginner at age 74 from Virginia, USA. I am enjoying practicing (20-30 minutes daily) and believe I am progressing. Even my wife likes what I am doing. I can relate to your method of teaching- providing just enough to make it challenging, but not overwhelming. I have found, for instance, the “laughing clown” to help me with my lower notes. Having said all of this, let me now address the thread topic. I would like to be able to play some jazz, spirituals, gospel type music, ‘soulful’ stuff. Down the road in the course I would really like to play Gershwin’s “Summertime” from the musical, “Porgy and Bess”. That pretty much sums it up. -Leland
