I don’t understand the sign on the top of the 10 hole from the document. There is an arrow go up like if we have to blow, but if we listen we have to draw on this note. Is it a mistake?
Hi Julien,
Good on you for asking the question! More people should follow your lead on this :) No question is too small.
The tablature is correct. What you are seeing and hearing is the ten hole double blow bend. The note produced by that bend is very close to the draw note on the ten hole, but not the same.
Sorry if that caused some confusion. I include the blow bend in Step #9 to have the complete scale notated, but blow bending is quite difficult so I don’t introduce that to students until they are up and running with the blues.
It’s taught here in Step 16. https://harmonicatime.com/content/step-16/
If you feel confident you can jump to that lesson and get your blow bends happening, and then come back and put the blow bend in the 2nd position blues scale.

Ok, thanks i understand now.
I think i’m gonna stay on the step 9 without jumping to step 16, so that means i’m gonna train on the blues scale without the 10 holes, i suppose it doesn’t matter, tell me if it does.Hello,
i have an other question about the blues scale (2d position):
i don’t understand why there is only 1 and half tones between the 2 and 3 hole, but there is 2 and half tones between the 6 and the 7 hole.
They should have the same step no?Hey Julien,
In answer to your second question, the distance between the 2 draw and 3 semi-tone bend in the blues scale is called a minor 3rd, and it’s a distance of 3 semitones. You are correct.
Then, when we get to the 6 hole unfortunately we cannot get that minor 3rd without a very advanced technique called overblows. So we skip that note and go to the next one in the scale, hence the bigger interval.
:)
