Hello everyone my name is Ted and I have just joined the website.
I have a YouTube page which I have been using as a diary of sorts so I can share with my family and friends. I have not posted on this website for several months. However, if you are interested, here is some of my earlier work.

And feel absolutely free to make any sort of comment or give advice on any of these videos?

Wow I just listened to End of the world, and that was sweet, man. And what a beautiful 3″ <3 Such feeling with each note. Thanks for sharing, Ted

Thank you for your comments and thank you for listening! I am working on beefing it up a little with a few splits then maybe a warbler to. I’ll post when I’m ready to share with everyone.

    Hey Ted, Welcome back!

Nice work on putting up some videos. That really helps me get an idea of where you’re at with things.

I went through them and I have a suggestion that I think will really help you to break through to the next level. It’s a minor tweak, with a major upside for your playing. This is just something to add to your practice routine. Don’t stop everything and only do this, but start to work it in.

As you play try to place the harmonica an extra 1/4 inch into your mouth. That’s it, if you can do this and maintain the notes you’ll be in a much better place long term. You’ll have a better tone, and be able to bend cleaner too.

Right now when you move between notes quickly like you did on the slow blues your pucker comes away a little. I also noticed it on a couple of bends too. Basically whenever the pucker is ‘tested’ a bit…

They’ll be some adjustment but believe me that 1/4 inch will make all the difference.

Keep up the great work mate! 🎶

Thank you Mitch for the feedback. I did not realize that I was losing contact with the harmonica. I will most definitely work on my pucker.

Hi Ted. It’s inspiring to view and listen to your performances it really is. I like the variety of songs you’re playing and also you’re in random places when you record yourself, it’s great and refreshing. I’m subscribed so I’ll look forward to more…Also I see Mitch has been able to listen but also see the performance and is able to give feedback to assist in progress. I know Mitch invites us all to send videos in but your uploads have reinforced the fact that he’s there ready and very willing to assist 1 to 1. Keep up the great work Ted.

Thank you for your reply. Frankly, I have found that videoing myself playing has helped me out a lot more than just listening and recording. At first I could tell every time I messed up because I would make a face. I didn’t know that until I saw my videos. It also helps because you get to check your posture, and the way you hold your harmonica.
I suggest videoing yourself even if you don’t show anyone else what it looks like and sounds like because it helps you personally develop.
