Whoa… You are rockin that blues arrangement! The fun you are having playing the harmonica totally comes through when you play. And Once again I can tell how much you’ve been practicing…You were really getting that timing down. I loved seeing the video… kudos to Ted for starting this trend on here and to you as well for following up with this video! And thanks for showing us your view… wow that is incredible! And I wanted to thank you because I had never heard of Larkin Poe before… and man do they freakin rock! I’ve been loving hearing that sound.

Observe yourself as you breathe in while playing the notes, and ask yourself are you tensing up a little?
If you can keep relaxed, with your shoulders and lungs relaxed while bending/playing you’ll get better bends and better tone!

Hey guys. Thanks Shawn, I remembered Ted in his car and Rooftop Cat spinning on his chair and figured it was time to get in on the action! Yep, been practicing plenty of late and still enjoying it sooo much. I try to keep a beat going by foot tapping, sometimes it wanders or stops but like everything its slowly improving. I’ve just started step 16 and having a go at bending 8,9 and 10. That 10 hole is a real pain to get and I realised that trying to get those bends correct is totally incompatible with any sort of human contact, it really is high and screechy..Larkin Poe really are awesome, they are touring and coming to the Uk so I’m hoping to get to see them and as you say, they rock!
Thanks Mitch. It’s not something I would have thought about really. I think I get so focused on trying to hit the correct notes(in the right order! ha) and trying to keep it all in time that I hadn’t even given it a thought so big thanks for the advice.🎼
That is some Sage advice Mitch! I just scanned over my playing as I read this and could feel where this could really help me, thanks for that.
And Rooftop Cat’s video!😂. I read this and thought… how could I forget to credit rooftop cat’s OG video kicking off this trend?! And then it hit me… Because it’s in a league of its own!!😂😂. Ahhh… The power of laughter… it’s like nothing else… that totally just shifted my morning thinking back to that… oh I needed that laugh.
And the harp festival and Larkin Poe… sounds like you have some exciting inspiration on the horizon!
