Hey all. This was my first ever performance in front of other humans, it was at an open mic night. The uke group came together recently and invited me along a couple of weeks ago. 3 practice evenings later and we played 3 tracks at a local pub. I absolutely loved playing to an audience and can’t wait to have another go. As I improve I want to do a little less playing along but add some “infills”(not sure of the proper name) and some intro/outro/solo stuff to break up the songs but until then playing along works just fine.
Shout out to Mitch for the lessons, mentoring and much more and also to those out there who have shown support and offered encouragement, 4 months have flown by since picking up the pocket buddy and i never imagined I’d be able to stand up in front of an audience. So sit back with your favourite glass and prepare to be blown away!!!

Good one, Jonathan! Your accompaniment added to the song nicely and cut through pleasantly alongside all the uke’s. Looks like your fellow musicians enjoy your playing and company too. You’ll be adding fills in no time! Did you enjoy Harpin’ by the Sea? Cheers

Thanks guys. Yes Harpin by the sea was awesome. Pretty much a solid weekend of talkin about, listening to, looking at and meeting new people with the same passion for harmonica. Some awesome musicians played and took to the stage. Mark Hummel eat his lunch next to me so I’m nearly famous haha!
