Second question, the F diatonic is quite high pitched, I notice Hohner make a few bass harmonicas including the F (eg Hohner Rocket Harmonica F Major Low Octave (M201616P)) – do you know whether this is just one note lower the the standard G (or an octave and a note) and if so, does the bass F harp play the same scales as the standard diatonic and could it be used to play C blues in second position but an octave lower than the standard F. Could this work or are there reasons why it wouldn’t? Hope you can help
Look forward to hearing from you, all the best, Phil

With the Hohner Low F harmonica, it’s only one tone lower than a standard G harp, not an octave down. So if you can bend and play your 2nd position blues scale on a G harmonica, it should only take a small adjustment to do the same on the Low F.

I personally love the low harps, but even for me, the lower the harp goes, the harder it gets to bend. The Low F is a nice one though.
