Harmonica Lessons › Community Forum › Meet and Greet › Greetings from Austin
Hey everyone,
Glad to have found the site. Gotta love YouTube.
So I’m an old guy and have always been into music. Started with violin in the 70’s as a kid. Found girls and partying and for some stupid reason quit music in pursuit of those endeavors. Because musicians never party right? Oy.
Anyway, picked up a harp when I was in the Army and played for years but only by ear. Had some informal lessons with a few musician friends but never studied. But I haven’t blown a harp in about a decade.
Four months ago I started playing mandolin and seriously studying music. Which of course inspired me to pick up the violin again. And since those two instruments aren’t enough, LOL, my new Fender Blues harmonica set will be here on Monday. It’s something I can share with my young grandson now and then get him into the other more physically dextrous instruments when he’s older.
I’m excited to be here. Can’t wait to start studying. I’ve already watched the first six steps but plan on going back over them when I get my harps.
Just Play! 👍

Hey Rick!
Welcome to harmonicatime.com. It sounds like your musical instrument dance card is pretty full there, but I like it that way too!
Enjoy, and feel free to reach out with any questions as you start your practice, and play!
Keep on harping!
