Greetings from the UK! I’ve been following Mitch’s lessons for about three-four months now, and learning to play the harmonica (using a Special Hohner 20 now) has been a lot of fun, especially during lockdown conditions – thank you Mitch for your cheery and encouraging approach! It’s great playing along to the C harmonica beginners’ jamtracks, even in a totally amateur way.
I’m still getting used to the new website, and can’t find the Top Hat jamtrack/playalong any more :-( am I just missing something here?
Good luck to everyone else with their harmonica progress, and as Mitch says “keep on harpin”!Mitch GraingerKeymasterJanuary 7 at 3:28 pmPost count: 219
Nice to hear from you, and thanks so much for the kind words. I’m so glad you were enjoying those original jam tracks over at mitchgrainger.com. They did not make it over here as my plan is to re-record them and upload them up in the new play-a-long format.
I’ve currently got a few other tracks in the pipeline ahead of them one, so let know if you’d like an Mp3 in the meantime, or if I can help in any other way!
Keep on harpin!

Thank you Mitch! An MP3 of Top Hat, and one of Hot Seat would be great (I should have downloaded them myself when I had the chance…), but no worry if you’re v busy.
I can fill up the time till they’re on this site by practising the licks in the Lick Library – these look to be a great way to learn to play music by ear, and I’m finding even the first one quite tricky to master, so it shows I need the practice ;-), but playing to the jam tracks is more fun!
All best regards
